Adoption opportunities are available in California at BLM’s Litchfield Corral Facility (530) 254-6575 and Ridgecrest Corral Facility (800) 951-8720 by appointment only. Adoption by appointment is also available at BLM’s National Wild Horse and Burro Center at Palomino Valley, Nevada (775) 475-2222 located just 20 miles northeast of the Reno-Sparks area. MUSTANG HERITAGE FOUNDATION'S NEVADA YEARLING CHALLENGE
Applications are needed NOW to be chosen for this exciting event, which will take place in conjunction with the Reno Wild Horse & Burro Expo in August.

THE LONGEARS CELE-BRAY-TION

MUSTANG INFORMATION DAY with Mini-Adoption
was held May 19, 2007, at the Napa Valley Horsemen's Association, Napa, California. This event was planned and carried out by BLM Volunteers. Another event is now in the planning stages for May, 2009

"The Longears Cele'bray'tion"

Location: Tehama District Fairground
Pauline Davis Pavilion, 650, Antelope Blvd., Red Bluff, Ca.


The Cele'bray'tion is a fun donkey and mule show inviting all longears
and their owners to participate!  BLM burro adoption both days. Saturday
brings riding and packing events.  Sunday invites all equine for driving
and pulling events!  Come and enjoy the fun activities and adventure!
Vendors are welcomed.

All dates and events are subject to change.  Please check with the appropriate BLM‑California office for confirmation.  There is a nationwide toll free number that you may call for more information concerning adoptions (1‑866-4MUSTANGS) or check out BLM's Wild Horse & Burro Home Page on the Internet at http://www.wildhorseandburro.blm.gov.  

Additional adoption events may be scheduled at a later date.  All non-facility adoptions events will be conducted using a competitive bid process.  Questions about the event should be directed to the listed contact number.
